Separation/Divorce Support Group   SERVICES

When going through a separation or divorce, I recommend individuals take the following three steps:

  1. Surround yourself with others who are living similar experiences.
  2. Give yourself plenty of time to heal from the situation.
  3. Finally, you should be emotionally ready before entering a new, loving relationship.

– Mike Paprocki, Founder of New England Divorce Education Center, LLC

Support GroupsOur Center provides support groups to individuals contemplating or experiencing a separation or divorce. Support groups are integral to those who are divorcing because it provides the needed emotional support. It will also provide a “reality” check for your current situation.

In our support group, individuals are able to give and receive feedback, process and express new and difficult feelings, and perhaps most importantly, are free to be themselves.

A support group is valuable because it can give hope to those who may feel hopeless, and provide a feeling of being connected and grounded to others. In addition, it can pull individuals through their divorce.

The divorce process has a beginning, middle, and end with specific marker points along the way. Those marker points are accompanied by their own unique challenges and emotions. A well-run group will allow individuals to experience, express and process those unique challenges and emotions, thus giving the space and opportunity to heal, change, understand and grow.

The New England Divorce Education Center’s Support Group meets for two hours, one night a week. Call (860) 887-9580 for more information.
